What is my ring size?
When buying jewelry it is essential that you know your proper ring size. As a general rule, the ring should just fit over the knuckle of the finger, being snug enough to not come loose, yet not too tight as to cause discomfort.
The good news is that it's easy to find your ring size. Simply follow the steps below to measure the circumference of your finger, and then find your ring size on the corresponding chart.
Because your finger can vary in size slightly over the course of a day, it is best to measure it at the end of the day under normal temperature and humidity conditions. This will help to ensure an accurate measurement.
- Wrap a very short piece of string around the base of the finger you wish to measure.
- Make a mark on the string at the point where it meets its other end.
- Measure the length of the string and identify your corresponding ring size on the chart below.

If you wish to find out your partners ring size without them knowing, the best method is perhaps to get a hold of another ring which they sometimes wear on the relevant finger, and take the measurement from that.
